GENERAL QUESTIONS

Who is Luggage Bellhop?

Luggage Bellhop is a premier luggage delivery concierge service that allows you to bypass baggage claim upon landing at your final destination airport. Luggage Bellhop picks up your check-in luggage from the airport baggage carousel or belt and delivers it directly to the location of your choice (hotel, home, office, golf course, etc.) within a few hours after landing. Luggage Bellhop is available at 250 airports nationwide seven days a week including all holidays.

Where is Luggage Bellhop available?

Luggage Bellhop is available at 250 airports nationwide in the United States. Let’s just say that if you’re flying with a commercial airline and not on a private jet, there is a 99.9% chance we can be of service to you.  See our Airports Serviced page for a list of participating airports.

 

How does Luggage Bellhop work?

  1. Place an Order at least one hour before your scheduled departure by clicking Book Now.
    1. Order Confirmation Email: sent to you upon order for our luggage delivery service.
    2. 24-Hour Reminder Email: sent to you 24-hours prior to your departure reminding you that you have signed up for Luggage Bellhop delivery service.
  2. Check-in your bags at the airline ticket counter or curbside skycap just like you always do. If required, pay any airline baggage fees, since these are separate from our luggage delivery service.
  3. Bypass Baggage Claim when you land at your final destination airport and go to your hotel, office, home, or wherever your travels may take you.
  4. Luggage Bellhop Picks-up your Luggage from the baggage claim.
    1. Luggage Picked Up Email: sent to you when we have your bags.
    2. Out-for-Delivery Email: sent when your bags are on the way.
  5. We Deliver your Luggage within four hours of arrival time if less than 40 miles from the airport. If you indicated that a signature is required at a residential address, our luggage delivery concierge will contact you before delivery to ensure that someone is available to accept your bags and provide signature.
    1. Delivery Confirmation Email: sent to you when your bags have been delivered to your delivery destination. If at a hotel, you will know to contact bellhop or the front desk.

 

Do I still need to pay my airline baggage fees?

Yes, airline baggage fees are charged by airlines and separate from the Luggage Bellhop service fee. Airline baggage fees are paid to the airlines in advance or when you check-in for your flight.

How far in advance do I need to schedule a delivery?

Orders must be placed at least one (1) hour prior to your scheduled flight departure time and up to 90-days prior of your scheduled arrival date. With all orders you must provide us with your airline confirmation code, so make sure to book your flight before you schedule Luggage Bellhop.

How do I know if my order has been placed?

You will receive an email with your confirmation number when you place your order, as well as a reminder email 24 hours before your flight. If you need to make any changes to your order (number of bags, luggage different from the description, etc.) please contact Luggage Bellhop at 1-877-7-LUGGAGE (1-877-758-4424).

Do I have to place a Luggage Bellhop delivery order online?

No. If you do not have internet access or prefer to talk to a Luggage Bellhop representative, call us at 1-877-7-LUGGAGE (1-877-758-4424).  All orders require a valid credit card.

Do I need to do anything special to prepare my bags?

Not at all! The only thing you need to do is check in your luggage with the airline when you check in for your flight and make sure you have a name tag on each bag.

How will Luggage Bellhop know which bags to deliver?

When you place your order, we get a detailed description of each bag included in the order, along with your flight info, including your airline confirmation code, and any passenger names traveling with you.

How many passengers can be placed on one order?

Up to eight (8) passengers with eight (8) bags can be combined on one order, however, everyone must be on the same flight into the final destination airport and all luggage will be delivered to the same delivery address.

Can I have more than eight (8) bags delivered?

Yes, however, if you or your group has more than eight (8) bags, you will need to place a new order for every eight (8) bags, or fraction thereof. Standard rates will apply for all additional orders.

Can I have my luggage delivered beyond 100 miles from the arrival airport?

No, we cannot offer Luggage Bellhop service for destinations more than 100 miles from the arriving airport at this time.

How does Luggage Bellhop calculate mileage?

We calculate mileage and any additional mileage charges that apply beyond 40 miles, by using Google maps and the shortest distance between your arrival airport and delivery address.

How soon after flight arrival will my bags be delivered?

The arrival time is the original scheduled arrival time or the actual arrival time if delayed, whichever is later.  If the delivery destination is within 40 miles of the arrival airport, our delivery goal is within four (4) hours of arrival time.  If your delivery destination is considered an Extended Delivery, which is between 40 to 100 miles from the arrival airport, the delivery will be made within six (6) hours of arrival.

Please Note: For residential deliveries in which you require a signature upon delivery.
In order to provide superior service, our luggage concierge drivers will contact you first before making the delivery order. If you would rather have your bags automatically delivered without contact, please waive the signature requirement when you place your order.

For residential deliveries after 11pm: For our driver’s safety, we will not call or deliver luggage for flights landing after 11:00pm to a residence. We will contact you the following morning and complete delivery service by noon the following day.

For Hotel Deliveries: Luggage will be left with the hotel concierge, bellhop, or front desk. Please be sure to check with the hotel for your luggage.

For Deliveries to a Business/Office: A signature will be required from someone onsite to accept luggage delivery.

Are there any items restricted from Luggage Bellhop delivery?

As much as we love pets, we do not pickup, handle, or deliver pets or live animals of any kind.  Otherwise, as long as your luggage meets the travel guidelines for the major airline carriers and is within 100 miles of the arrival airport, it is eligible for delivery. PRICING

What do you charge to deliver my luggage?

  • Standard Delivery: Only $59.95 for your first two (2) bags within 40 miles from the arriving airport.  3rd thru 8th bags cost an additional $7 per bag.
  • Extended Delivery Surcharge: An additional $1.50 per mile for each mile in excess of 40 miles from the arrival airport with a delivery range of up to 100 miles.

Do I pay when service is ordered?

Yes, your credit card will be charged when you place your Luggage Bellhop delivery order, just like the airlines charge you when you book your ticket.

Do I still have to pay the airlines any baggage fees if I use your service?

Yes, unfortunately we have no control over what your airline charge you to check-in luggage. You are responsible for any airline baggage fees assessed at flight check-in.

Is there a surcharge for overweight of oversized luggage like skis, surfboards, golf clubs, etc.?

No.  We DO NOT charge extra for overweight or oversized luggage, even though your airline may very likely charge you an additional fee for overweight or oversized luggage.  For the most part, if the airline will allow you to check it in, we’ll deliver it, except for pets or live animals.  Please see our Terms and Conditions for additional information.

What forms of payment does Luggage Bellhop accept?

Luggage Bellhop accepts the following major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover Card. 

What if I have more than eight (8) bags?

If you or your group is traveling with more than eight (8) bags, you will need to place an additional order for each additional eight (8) bags, or fraction thereof.  There is no exception to this rule.

What is the cancellation policy for Luggage Bellhop?

  • 24 Hour Notice – Full Refund: You will receive a full refund or credit if you cancel your order more than 24 hours in advance of your scheduled arrival time. Go to My Trips in your account profile to cancel an existing order or call Luggage Bellhop Customer Service at 1-877-7-LUGGAGE (1-877-758-4424).
  • Less than 24 Hour Notice – Partial Refund: Cancellations made within 24 hours of scheduled arrival time and before actual flight arrival are subject to a $15 late cancellation fee. This is to recoup our costs, since your order will have already been dispatched out with a luggage concierge driver.  Contact Luggage Bellhop at 1-877-7-LUGGAGE (1-877-758-4424). You must notify us if you intend to cancel your order or no refunds will be given.
  • No Cancellation Notice: To be eligible for a full or partial refund, Luggage Bellhop requires that you notify us before your flight arrival at the final destination airport. See details above. NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN if for any reason, you fail to cancel your Luggage Bellhop delivery order. Cancellations within 24 hours of your flight must be made by phone.  Luggage Bellhop is not looking to penalize our valued customers, however, if we receive no notification to cancel an order we incur charges for dispatching a dedicated luggage delivery driver to the airport and possibly additional charges in having our team file a Delayed Luggage Claim Report with the airline when we cannot locate your bags at your airline’s baggage claim.  This creates a lot of unnecessary work and costs for everyone involved, so please keep us informed.

WHAT IF’s…(Travel Delays, Change of Plans, etc.)

If my international flight arrives at a U.S. airport, can I use Luggage Bellhop?

Only if your international flight departs from one of the fourteen (14) airports listed below that U.S. Customs conducts preclearance operations. At these select airports you clear U.S. Customs before you depart, so we are able to secure your luggage upon landing in the USA.  Otherwise, Luggage Bellhop delivery service is not available on inbound international flights, because by law, U.S. Customs requires each passenger to collect his or her own luggage and be processed through Customs. Important: If you clear U.S. Customs at any airport in USA and then recheck your bags for another domestic flight, this final leg is considered a domestic flight and Luggage Bellhop will be available to serve you.

If my travel plans change after I’ve placed an order, how do I notify Luggage Bellhop?

You may change your Luggage Bellhop delivery order to fit your new plans or you may cancel the reservation.  Go to My Trips in your account profile or contact Customer Service at 1-877-7-LUGGAGE (1-877-758-4424). See our Cancellation Policy above for additional details.

If I want to cancel my luggage delivery order can I do so without a penalty?

Yes, but only if you cancel your Luggage Bellhop order more than 24 hours before your scheduled arrival time.  Go to My Trips in your account profile.

 

If I'm already at the airport, can I still place an order?

As long as you place your luggage delivery order at least one hour before your scheduled departure. See our Airports Serviced page for a list of participating airports.

If I take an earlier flight than what is on the order, what do I do?

Immediately contact Luggage Bellhop Customer Service at 1-877-7-LUGGAGE (1-877-758-4424) to inform us of the change in flight information. If you make a last minute change at the airport, call us before departing your departure city so we can reschedule your pickup with the local delivery concierge agent without incurring an additional change fee.

If there are unforeseen travel delays, can I cancel my Luggage Bellhop order?

Yes, you may cancel your order before your flight arrival by calling us at 1-877-7-LUGGAGE (1-877-758-4424), however, there will be a $15 late cancellation fee that will apply since your order will have already been dispatched out with a luggage concierge driver.

If I have luggage that is gate checked when I was boarding my flight, can I add that to my Luggage Bellhop order?

It depends upon the airline and the item, such as bags vs. baby strollers.  Each airline operates differently.  The airline may route these items to baggage claim upon landing or they may bring them to jet way as you are walking off the plane. You must ask the airline personnel where they will take your item(s) after landing. If they will be routed to the baggage claim like regular checked-in luggage, immediately call Luggage Bellhop Customer Service BEFORE departure and have this bag added to your existing order.

If my flight is cancelled or diverted, what do I do?

In 2012, only about 1.1% of all domestic flights were cancelled and less than 0.2% were diverted to another airport before eventually arriving at the scheduled final destination airport.  If your flight is cancelled and/or diverted, you should contact Luggage Bellhop Customer Service at 1-877-7-LUGGAGE as soon as possible to advise them of the change.  We will either cancel the order with no penalty or dispatch the revised arrival details to our luggage delivery concierge team and proceed with delivery.

 

If there is a delay in delivery service due to local weather or traffic conditions, am I entitled to a refund?

Our goal is to deliver all standard deliveries within 40 miles of the airport within 4 hours of arrival. However, delays due to inclement weather or traffic are outside of our control and may require additional time to ensure the safe arrival of your luggage and our delivery concierge drivers.  In these unique situations Luggage Bellhop will not issue a refund and kindly asks for your patience.  Please contact Customer Service at 1-877-7-LUGGAGE (1-877-758-4424) if you have further questions.

If my luggage doesn’t arrive on the originally scheduled flight, what happens?

Fortunately domestic airlines are better than ever in getting your bags on your flight, with less than 3 out of 1,000 passengers experiencing “lost or delayed” luggage in 2012. However, if you’re in that 0.3% minority and your bags didn’t arrive at the baggage claim as planned, a member of our Luggage Bellhop concierge team will contact you to make sure the number of bags on your order is correct and that you didn’t grab your own luggage upon landing. 

Luggage Bellhop will then work with your airline’s local Baggage Service Office to inquire about the whereabouts of your luggage.  Often we learn that your bags will be arriving on the next flight from your departure city. If necessary, we will provide you with the proper airline contact information so you can file a Delayed Luggage Claim. The airline will then be responsible for the final delivery of your luggage when it arrives. 

  • No Bags Arrived as Scheduled: We will refund your Luggage Bellhop service charge if we make no delivery due to the airline’s delays. We incur hard costs, but don’t feel like you should be punished twice for the airline’s mistake.
  • Some Bags Arrived as Scheduled: We will deliver the items/bags on your luggage delivery order that did arrive as scheduled.  The airline will be responsible for delivering the delayed items that come in on a different flight. 

If my luggage is lost or damaged, what can I do?

When your luggage is in the possession of Luggage Bellhop, we accept liability for lost or damaged luggage up to $500 per bag or $1,000 per order.  Please refer to our Terms and Conditions section of our website for further details and specifications. Luggage Bellhop will contact you if your bag has been lost or damaged by an airline.
